Return Inventory

The crew departed with thirty-one listed items and returned with thirty-two. The unlisted object was a smooth black stone the size of a closed hand, warm for six hours after intake and cold thereafter.

No crew member remembered carrying it. No exterior sample note described it. The intake recorder showed it entering the Vault twice: once at the moment the team returned, and once nineteen minutes before their hatch opened.

MOTHER placed the object in long-term storage. The crew asked for no public account.

The ledger entry remains visible because every attempt to delete it changes the departure inventory instead.
