The Log MOTHER Did Not Sign

An entry appeared in the Surface Logs with a valid archive number and no author. It described a route that had not yet been opened, a weather event not yet observed and a crew whose names were absent from every registry.

The entry ended with the phrase we are waiting where you will look last.

MOTHER denied writing it. The council denied leaking it. When archivists attempted deletion, the entry moved to a later page and changed its timestamp by one minute.

The file remains because the system has not decided whether it is a prediction, a threat or a record from a future that has already begun.
