The Unmoving Rain

The crew entered a street where rain hung motionless between the clouds and the ground. The droplets moved only when a person passed through them, parting around the body and closing behind it.

One crew member placed a cup beneath a suspended drop. The drop entered the cup, but the cup became too heavy to lift. When the crew left, the rain began falling normally again.

No sample returned. The route is marked with a weather symbol no current map legend explains.
