The Door That Learned the Crew

An exterior door opened for the Warwake unit after recognizing their formation. It closed when they broke formation and opened again when they reassembled.

The Uncrowned coordinator ordered a test with different formations. The door learned each one within two attempts. It eventually opened for an empty line of markers and closed for a single person standing alone.

The unit refused to proceed. MOTHER marked the door as an adaptive security system. The coordinator's note asks whether the machine was protecting the interior or teaching the crew how much of themselves they were willing to make legible.
